1- I apologise for the confusion caused by the "Captain's Cock Up Competition" today. It became a NO WIN (because it wasn't possible) NO FEE day. Thank you to all those who contributed their match fee to the Captain's Charity. At least you didn't get wet as well!

2- For the next 3 weeks, Vice-Captain Barry is running the programme. If you need to contact him his email is : bjholmes@globalnet.co.uk and his land line number is: 01993 771959.

3- If you haven't added your name to the latest sign up sheets please do so in the temporary changing room at the north end of the driving range.

4- I had a second meeting this afternoon with a representative of Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance (TVACAA), our charity for this year. They are very much onside to help us with our Seniors Charity Open and will give a short presentation at one of our future Prize Giving Days. I hope you have the date of the Open,Tuesday 11th. August, firmly in your diaries.

Thursday's event will be the "end of the month" 4 Ball, Pairs, Better Ball, Stableford competition, played off 3/4 of handicap.
We have a 2 tee start so the last tee times are 08.54 am!!
The end of the month's Prize Giving will follow the golf. This will include the Bandit of the Month (or is that Bandits of the Months) but will the Golf Ball Finder Glasses be seen again?

09.22 - John Watt + Colin Baker  v  Malcolm Saunders + Alan Lake (the latter pair on the toss of a coin following an undecided 1st. round match.

There are tee times before, between and after the above times, for the roll up.

     2.  The Seniors Notice Board is now housed in the temporary changing room at the north end of the driving range. The sign up sheet for the February Medal is on this board.

U-Boat Round 2

It is expected that all U-Boat Round 2 matches will be played next Tuesday 27th. January. This will involve 16 members.
In the Sports Bar tomorrow (Thurs. 22nd. Jan.) there will be a sign up sheet for these U-Boat games. I have allocated 4 tee times, interspersed with Roll Up times through the days programme. The U-Boat times are 08.12, 08.30, 08.56, 09.22. If any of these times are not required then they will be available for the Roll Up. The Roll Up is an Individual Stableford.

The annual review has been completed and the handicap list on this website has been updated.

Tuesday 13th. January

Vice Captain Barry is 'in charge' for Tuesday's Individual Teasing STABLEFORD. The order of tees is White, Yellow, Red.

The annual review of handicaps will have been completed by Tuesday. It is IMPORTANT that all players check the new list which will be posted on the Sports Bar notice board, before commencing their round. It is more likely that handicaps will go up rather than down!!!

Division Boundaries

The average number of players in 'white tee' events by division, since the start of November, is as follows:
Division 1 - 14
Division 2 - 17
Division 3 - 10

In today's (Tues. 6th. Jan.) Roll Up, the numbers were:
Division 1 - 13. Division 2 - 16, Division 3 - 9.

As the intention was to have equal numbers in each division, it appears that the boundary between division 2 and division 3 will have to change.
AS OF THURS. 8TH. JANUARY, Division 2 will be for handicaps 20 to 23 and Division 3 will be for handicaps 24 to 28.
