As you will see the change of the divisions certainly evened up the numbers
Trouble is is gets even harder to win in Div 1 now.
So congratulations to Geoff Mills who wins the Steve Putt Trophy beating Gerry Collier on countback ( Just)

So on a day where the weather held fine but was not as nice as promised by the authorities 26 of us played Erics game.
When I mused about only paying 1st and 2nd prizes your much loved captain was abused and threatened if only by the two people who were third in each division and their fellow travellers. But as Mrs May so eloquently and gracefully showed earlier this week just changing your mind about something doesn't mean you've done a U Turn or anything else that might show weakness.
So this weeks result
Div 1
1st Tony Ward 17, 2nd Bob Kirkwood 18, 3rd Rod Rapley 18
Div 2
1st Cliff Surman 19, 2nd Mike Dawson 21, 3rd Richard Gent 21
Steve Putt trophy Thursday and who knows how that might end up

Good Afternoon Golfers
After the reorganising of our calendar tomorrow is a roll up, I thought we could play Erics Game again as I missed it the last time and its a game I enjoy. Sign Up sheet is in the changing room.
Also posted on the notice board in the sports bar and on the blog page is the tee time sheet for Thursdays Steve Putt Trophy. Sign up sheets for Junes Medal and the Invotec trophy are also in the sports bar

So I'm still struggling with How Did I Do but I see the result for last Tuesday arrived this morning, so not convinced its me (or Glyn) it may just be an issue with the web sites.
So todays result.
Congratulations to Ron as overall winner.
It really was a pleasure to walk around the course today unfortunately my walk was spoiled by having Dinger Long insist that I had to whack a silly little white ball from hedge to hedge and tree to tree as I went.
One other change today following the committee meeting it has been agreed to try and even up the sizes of the divisions by moving those with a playing handicap of 22 into division 1. I will keep an eye on the results and see how that goes.
