The Raffle - Seniors Charity Open Tuesday 11th August 2015

It is customary to run a raffle at this event. In the past many prizes have been generously donated by members from within our seniors section. Once again I would ask you all to contribute a prize for the raffle. All the proceeds go towards the Captain's charity AIR AMBULANCE.

Typical prizes might include

Bottles of spirits.
Bottles of wine.
Unwanted but new golfing paraphernalia to include umbrellas, clothing, clubs, balls, etc.
Any other new items that a golfer might find useful.

Please bring your donations to me at Witney Lakes, on either a Tuesday or Thursday over the next month.

WANTED

Seniors' Captain and Seniors' Vice-Captain from 1st November 2015

Some of you may remember at the AGM last year, that despite being elected as Vice Captain, I said at the time that I might be moving to Devon in 2015, and may not be able to take on the Captain's role for a second time.

At the moment it is more than likely that we will move by the end of this year, hence the notice.

If you feel that you want to be more involved in the running of the Senior Section then please talk to Cliff Smith or myself about the two jobs.

Bandit of the Month

Last months' bandit was finally tracked down (see below) but now this months bandit, Geoff Mills, is on the run.

1 - The closing date for 'signing up' to the Seniors Section Championship is Thursday 2nd. July

2 - If you haven't already done so, please organise your entry for the Seniors Charity Open. The closing date for this one is 22nd. July.

Seniors Section Championships

Brian has asked me to remind everyone that the entry fee for the Seniors Championship is £3. This covers both rounds of the competition with no refunds being available to anyone who misses the second round.
The closing date will be Thurs. 2nd. July (as stated on a post of 26th. June) and not Tues. 30th. June as written on the sign up sheet.

For those playing in the above fixture - please note that the first tee is 09.00 and jacket and tie is required for the meal.
