A few items to consider ...

The Seniors' Charity Open on Tuesday 9th August.

To date I only have 38 entries - this is a very poor response. I would ask you as a member of the Senior Section, if you haven't already entered, then please support the section and the charity - Prostate Cancer UK.

You can pick up an entry form from the Seniors Notice Board in the Sports Bar, or email me at
wlss.captain@gmail.com and I will send you an entry form and further details.

Every year the charity open holds a raffle sponsored by the membership. Cliff Smith will be collecting prizes from all those who are willing to donate to this good cause. Suggestions for prizes are bottles of booze (always welcome), unwanted and not used golf items - clubs, bags, clothing, balls, etc. Books that look as-good-as-new. Any other items that you might think suitable. Remember all the monies collected go the charity - please contact Cliff asap.

End of month prize giving and general get together.

We do have the opportunity, once a month, to meet after the split-tee game in the Sports Bar, to socialise with our golfing mates and perhaps receive a trophy, medal or even the dreaded bandit hat. I would urge you all to stay until after the prize giving. Last month there were still competitors on the course when all had gone home! I can remember the good old days when we filled the Sports Bar every month, let's try and bring back that spirit of unity.

Finally.

Next week we have the Seniors' Club Championship - a two-day event. If you haven't signed up then contact me and I will include you in the competition.

On day two of the event, Thursday 7th July, there will be complimentary sandwiches and chips for all those that finish their round of golf. When you return to the Sports Bar order a sandwich of your choice at the bar, and a plate of chips for each three-ball will also be included. Drinks are NOT included.

Enjoy your golf!
