Seniors Championship 3rd & 5th July
Hi all,
Congratulations to all who took part in
this years Seniors Championship.
The course was great but very difficult,
well for me any way.
The blistering heat over the 2 days made it a attritional, I have had
to have a lie down in a fan blown darkened room
The major trophy is of course the Claret
Jug for the Gross Championship which was won by Tony Ward with n 84 on the
Tuesday and 86 today for a 170 Gross score.
Just behind were Declan Jordan on 174 and
Julian Marks on 176
The Bennett Cup is for the lowest Nett
score
This was won by John Watt on 140, beating
Dave Butler on 144 and Julian Marks on 146
Tony’s
Gross would have achieved a 12th place
in the main club championship
John’s
nett score would have won the Main Club
championship last weekend. Dave Butler would have come second and Julian Marks
4th.
So next year perhaps more seniors should
enter the Main Club Championship as well!!
