Hi all,

This evening the Witney Lakes General Manager has sent out an e-mail and has put up posters around the Resort regarding the Presentation extravaganza.

I do hope that the Seniors element of Witney Lakes Resort will turn out in force to demonstrate that we are a very important part of the Witney Lakes Golf Club.

It will be good to celebrate all of our Trophy Winners this year.

Both the e-mail and the poster will say that tickets are to be purchased at reception.

We are not paying this way!

There is a sign up sheet on the notice board with the menu choices and I am pleased that people have began to put their names on this sheet already.

Myself and Brian will collect the money from those attending and pay Witney Lakes 1 cheque for all of the Seniors.

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control time is tight, so please either sign up to the sign up sheet on the Seniors notice board, or e-mail me your details for tickets required and menu choices from the follow by Friday 26^th October. Also let me know who you want to sit with.

Good Evening,

Witney Lakes Seniors Dinner & Presentation Evening 7.00 pm for 7.30pm Saturday 3^rd November

This year there is a change to the normal arrangements, the dinner will include all 3 sections of the Witney Lakes Golf Club.

There are a number of benefits to us joining together

There will be a free glass of wine or soft drink on arrival

There will be a beer promotion on the night

There will be a band playing for us after the meal

There will be a disco after the band

We will still have a separate Seniors presentation in the Sports bar after the meal, while the main club and Ladies present theirs trophies in the main venue, this was our decision to keep this separate.

The Seniors will also sit together on our own tables

Charlie Stockford  the Resort General Manager is very keen to have a joint event and presented to the Seniors committee the extras he was willing to provide if it was a joint event.

We felt that as part of the Witney Lakes Golf Club we should accept his proposal this year to give him the chance to show us the benefits of a joint event

The cost of the evening will be £22.50 per person

Wives, Girlfriends, partners are all welcome as usual. Last year we had 42 Seniors attend and I would like to see as many this year

All new members are doubly welcome, it is a great opportunity to mix with your comrades and partners and a chance to put on your glad rags

I should mention there is a new head chef Gavin who by all accounts is turning out some good meals

I am assured by Charlie Stockford that we can expect a good meal

The sign up sheet will be on the notice board tomorrow, so please sign up as quickly as possible

We will of course invite Annie to be our guest and pay for her from our club funds.

In addition we normally give Annie a gift so I will be asking members who want to, to donate some money to enable us buy her a suitable present for the sterling work she does for us each and every year

I am sure it will be a good do and look forward to seeing you there
