The week ahead ...

Firstly congratulations go to the top three players of the Summer Stableford. The final result is the sum of the best three Stableford scores out of the five rounds. Also a big thank you to all those who took part in the event.

On the golfing menu this week ...

Tuesday 27th September - Wilf Shirley Shield, played off the WHITE tees with Stableford scoring and full handicap allowance. If you haven't yet signed up then email me asap. wlss.captain@gmail.com

Thursday 29th September - Monthly four-ball-better-ball - teams and tee times are posted on this website. We are looking for one more player to join Robin at 8:30 on the first tee. Once again email me if you can fill this spot.

Remember after the game there is the monthly prize giving in the Sports Bar. Brian tells me there could be a FREE bowl of team chips for those pairs who stay behind for the prize giving - what an incentive to stay!

This week is the last week I will be collecting for the Captain's charity - so if you haven't yet paid up for all those mishaps on the 15th hole then now is your chance. Remember 50p in the box if your ball lands in the water, bunker, out-of-bounds or the gorse bush (and you need a drop under penalty). We aim to have collected some £1200 for  Prostate Cancr UK and a cheque will be presented to a representative from the Charity at the Presentation Evening on Friday 28th October.

Looking ahead there are sign-up sheets on the notice board for the golfing events well into mid-October. There is also a sign-up sheet for the final away match of the year against Shrivenham GC.
